As a poet
I've always learned to take the weather seriously
And when I was small
I made a decision to never miss out the rain
Never ever to sit in, like an adult
And this is how I ended up, soaking myself wet
In the early mornings before my finals, afresh
Or the day the storm brought a few wires down
And today when
I rushed outside
It was because I had mixed feelings
And I hoped that
Some answer would come my way
And then the rain took me too cold
To the point I had to cross my arms and tremble
But I stayed like that till
The real revelation came
I was cold, even more frigid
As my bones chilled to point I could feel no more
And then I melted, my heart gave a glow
So that a warmth spread throughout me burning bright
And it seemed I had found the truth told
As I saw the ripples dancing across the water
Always coming back after spreading against the wall
Give it all
And you'll get it back someday
If not these days
Just remember it might be in a better way
And I was, in no way unnerved
Because I couldn't recalled doing anything wrong
So I slipped inside
To change and write while now
The sun comes out
The answer is always there
If you look for it.
